I have talked about my health journey and things that I am doing on this journey.
Today, I would like to talk about how I feel.
I have been on this journey for about 6 months now. I have more energy and a general better feeling. I enjoy going to the gym and exercising, even when it is hard. I push myself and feel proud of what I am doing. I do NOT feel like I am restricting what I can eat, I am just making better decisions about what I eat.
I don’t like to miss any workout, I consider a workout any physical activity that I would NOT normally do. I nice walk, longer than I have done. Using the rower at the gym and lifting weights. I feel stronger, happier and motivated to continue this journey.
I am meeting new people that have the same goals as I do and we all motivate and support each other. I think this is very important, some of the people I just know online through LoseIt and others I have met in person at the gym. Having a support system in place is so important in life and in any adventure that you are on.
When I complete a workout with a sweat covered shirt, it makes me feel proud of what I accomplished. Seeing the drop in my weight and seeing the difference in the mirror is an amazing feeling. I feel that my goal is within reach.
I am now creating new goals. I don’t just want to loose weight now, I want to get fit. I want to completely change my lifestyle and become a more healthy person. I want to keep learning how to be healthy and help others along their journey. I want to make better decisions.
I find myself looking for people that are on the same journey as I am on. Some have been on this journey much longer and are maintaining some are just started. We all help inspire each other on a daily basis through interactions that we have. This weight loss journey is NOT just about seeing the number lower but about feeling better about the person I am.
